Erdogan will be attending the second intergovernmental summit taking place in Spanish capital, Madrid on February 22nd.

The summit comes in accordance with an agreement between Erdogan and his Spanish counterpart, Jose Zapatero on holding such talks annually.

The Turkish leader will also be decorated with an award in Seville, Spain for his "important role" in activating the Alliance of Civilizations project.
