Caglayan attended the Turkish Aegean Coast-Greek Aegean Islands Economic Summit in the Greek capital.
Commenting on his meeting with the Greek Minister of Economy, Caglayan accessed the problems Greece is facing and the European Union´s approach to the issue.
Caglayan said Turkey did everything on its own, when it faced a similar situationl.
He said there had been no need for dictation from international instutitons.
Caglayan recommended that Greece review its foreign trade policies.
He said the current problems, hindering trade between Turkey and Greece, should be eliminated.
He described Greece as Turkey´s gateway to Europe.
The Turkish trade minsiter pointed to the quota procedure applied to Turkey´s land transportation to Greece, as well as its transportation to Europe through Greece.
He said "Trade cannot be carried out freely there."
Caglayan also called on Greek businessleaders to conduct joint projects with Turkish businesses in third countries.
Caglayan said Turkey and Greece could cooperate in numerous sectors such as shipping, tourism, and construction.
