Now, the new- born cubs are enjoying the sun, as they explored the outdoors of the zoo.
 
In the past,  their mother, lioness Sorani, neglected one of her new-born cubs and it  died.

Animal trainers say, when the triplets were born, there was reason for celebration.

Zoo officals say there was imbalance between the male-female ratio of lions at the zoo.

They say the three females could boost the current population of nine lions, to anywhere from fifteen to twenty lions in the next few years.
