After 217-orbits around Earth and a trip of nearly 6 million miles, Endeavour touched down at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Sunday.

The shuttle landed three miles from where it blasted off on Februray 8th, ending the space shuttle fleet´s 130th mission.

The International space station has been under construction 220 miles above Earth since 1998.

It is a 100 billion dollar project being financed by 16 nations.

Endeavour carried the station´s final connecting hub, named Tranquility.

It will serve as a second living quarters for the resident station crew.

The module has been outfitted with a toilet, a water-recycling system, an oxygen generator, air scrubbers and exercise gear.

NASA added a day to Endeavour´s planned eight-day stay at the station, so the visiting astronauts could help with the work.

Endeavour also delivered a observation deck that provides a view the astronauts described as spectacular.

The new rooms were hooked up during three spacewalks by Endeavour astronauts.

They are the last major components of the station.
