Erdogan warns on rich-poor gap
Turkish prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has issued a warning that the global gap between rich and poor countries is widening, which he says risks global instability.

The Turkish Prime Minister is Spain beginning an official state visit.

In the Spanish captial, Erdogan said that the gap between rich and poor is widening,  which is obviously a grave danger in an era of rapid globalization and information technologies.

He warned “Billions of people in Africa and Asia face hunger, and they see on their T-Vs the luxury developed countries enjoy.

He said this fuels hopelessness and pessimism in poor countries, which risk illegal migration, growing crime rates, and global terrorism."

Erdogan said "insecure financial management" made the global finacial crisis inevitable.

He said such a global system had no chances of sustainability.

The Turkish leader said, the economic crises, and a global political crisis threaten the world,

He added Turkey and Spain are jointly struggling against such a global threat in their effort for the Alliance of Civilizations, to fight off intolerance and a lack of dialogue,".

Erdogan said the Alliance of Civilizations aims at showing that different cultures can work in friendship and harmony for peace and tolerance.
